BPSSC Bihar Police SI Prohibition Recruitment 2026: The Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) has released an official notification (Advt. No. 03/2026) inviting online applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment of 78 vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector (Prohibition) under the Prohibition, Excise and Registration Department, Government of Bihar.

Eligibility Criteria
Nationality
The candidate must be an Indian citizen. Male, female, and third-gender candidates can apply.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university on or before 01 August 2025.
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)
- General (Male): 20 to 37 years
- General (Female): 20 to 40 years
- BC/EBC (Male & Female): 20 to 40 years
- SC/ST (Male & Female): 20 to 42 years
Age relaxation is also available for government employees and ex-servicemen as per rules.

Selection Procedure
The selection process consists of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination
- 100 multiple choice questions
- Total Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 hours
- Minimum 30% marks required
2. Main Examination
Two papers:
- Paper 1: General Hindi (100 questions, 200 marks, qualifying only)
- Paper 2: General Studies, Science, History, Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability (100 questions, 200 marks)
Negative marking of 0.2 marks for each wrong answer.
3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Includes running, high jump, long jump and shot put. Candidates must qualify in all events.
Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the main examination.
