HCL Recruitment 2026: Eligibility Criteria
As stated in the notification, candidates must have a master’s degree from a recognised university in Hindi, English, or any other topic where Hindi and English were studied at the degree level. Furthermore, applicants must have one of the following:
- A certification or certificate in Hindi, a well-known English translation, or
- At least two years of translation work in an office of the Central or State Government or a project run by the Government of India.
As of January 1, 2026, the oldest person who can apply is 35 years old. According to government rules, PwDs and ex-servicemen can get age relaxation. Employees at HCL can apply until they are 50 years old.
Selection Procedure for HCL Recruitment 2026
To choose a Hindi translator, there will be a written test and then a check of the documents. The written test will have:
- General Knowledge & Current Affairs
- English Language (Vocabulary & Grammar)
- Hindi Language (Vocabulary & Grammar)
- Computer Knowledge
- Translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi
- English and Hindi Essay Writing
There will be a negative marking on the objective sections, and candidates must get at least 30% of the total marks to pass the document verification.
