Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised university. The degree must be valid and approved at the time of application.
Age Limit (as on 01 August 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age:
- 37 years for Unreserved (Male)
- 40 years for BC/EBC (Male & Female)
- 42 years for SC/ST (Male & Female)
Age relaxation will be given as per government rules for reserved categories and special cases.
Selection Procedure
The selection process will have three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination
- Objective-type questions
- Two papers:
- General Studies – 100 marks
- Law – 150 marks
This exam is qualifying in nature.
2. Main Examination
The main exam will have written papers, including:
- General Studies
- Hindi
- English
- Indian Penal Code, 2023
- Indian Civil Code, 2023
- Indian Evidence Act, 2023
- Constitution of India and other law subjects
Each paper will be descriptive.
3. Interview
Candidates who clear the main exam will be called for an interview of 100 marks. Final merit will be prepared based on the main exam and interview marks.

A biometric fee of ₹200 will also be applicable.
