CSIR Technician Recruitment 2026: Salary and Benefits
- Pay Matrix: Level-2, ₹19,900–₹63,200.
- HRA and travelling allowance are available at applicable Central Government rates.

CSIR Technician Recruitment 2026: Selection Procedure
The selection process will consist of:
- Screening of applications by a Screening Committee.
- Trade Test, which will be qualifying in nature.
- Candidates qualifying in the Trade Test will appear in the competitive written examination.
- The written examination will contain Paper-I, Paper-II and Paper-III.
- Paper-II and Paper-III will be evaluated only for candidates meeting the required threshold in Paper-I.
- The final merit list will be prepared using marks obtained in Paper-II and Paper-III.
The written examination will be objective-type and OMR/CBT based, with 150 questions and 2 hours 30 minutes allotted. Paper-I has no negative marking, while Papers II and III carry one negative mark for every wrong answer.
