Eligibility Criteria for MACS-ARI Pune Scientist Recruitment 2026
Scientist-E (Business Development)
- A Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 10 years of research and development experience.
- Experience in patenting, technology transfer, industry collaboration, and business development is desirable.
Scientist-C (Bioenergy)
- Ph.D. in Microbiology or Biochemical Engineering with a focus on bioenergy.
- 5 years of research experience.
- Experience in bioreactors, biofuel production, and strain improvement is preferred.
Scientist-B (Paleobiology)
- A Master’s Degree in Geology or its equivalent is required.
- 3 years of research experience.
- A Ph.D. and research in paleosciences are desirable.
Scientist-B (Bioinformatics)
- A Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field is highly desirable.
- 3 years of research experience.
- Knowledge of NGS data analysis, Python, R, and bioinformatics tools is desirable.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC and government employees as per Central Government rules.
Age Limit:
- Scientist-E (Business Development) – Age Limit: 45 years
- Scientist-C (Bioenergy) – Age Limit: 40 years
- Scientist-B (Paleobiology) – Age Limit: 35 years
- Scientist-B (Bioinformatics) – Age Limit: 35 years
ARI Pune Scientist Recruitment 2026: Selection Procedure
Candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications and experience. If applications are large in number, ARI may restrict candidates for interview through a screening process. Final selection will be made through an interview.
A reserve panel will remain valid for one year. Outstation candidates called for an interview will receive a second-class rail fare.
